Breakpoint table

StatCommon planning pointsDecision
Vitality30, then 50Health gains slow after each point.
Endurance40 for staminaStamina gain becomes negligible beyond 40.
Strength / Skill25, then 50Physical weapon gains diminish; check the weapon’s scaling.
Bloodtinge25, then 50Relevant to blood damage and firearms, not every weapon.
Arcane25, then 50 for many weaponsHunter Tools can still reward higher Arcane.

How to use the table

Choose a weapon and inspect its scaling before spending attack-stat levels. For a new character, survivability and enough stamina to execute your moveset can matter more than chasing a cap. Do not assume Arcane Tool damage stops at 50; its behavior differs from many weapon attacks.

What the numbers do not mean

The table is not a universal “best build.” Weapon upgrades, blood gems, move multipliers and enemy defenses affect actual damage. The sources disagree on whether some thresholds should be called first or second soft caps, so compare the marginal gain in your own status screen when optimizing.

Do not copy a cap from an uncorrected transcript

The newly collected stats video has a short automatic transcript that appears to give an incorrect Vitality figure and calls diminishing returns a hard cap. Use the cited written stat tables for the breakpoints above. A soft cap means a smaller return per point, not that the stat stops increasing.

Bloodborne stats ranges and caps

This short auto-caption contains a conflicting or garbled Vitality number and cap terminology. Use the written breakpoint table above instead.
